Call for abstracts – 13th EASN International Conference on Innovation in Aviation and Space for opening New Horizons (05-08 September 2023, Salerno, Italy)
The 13th EASN International Conference on “Innovation in Aviation & Space for opening New Horizons” will take place in Salerno, Italy. The conference is expected to be a major European dissemination event of aviation and space-related research, as it will provide a forum for presenting EU funded projects’ activities and achieved goals, discussing current trends and future needs, and trying to identify possible collaborations with each other. Additionally, a number of policy development projects will also find the floor to present the strategic priorities of the European aviation sector. Topic areas, include:
● Air traffic management & airports
● Human factors
● European policy actions in the field of aviation and space
● Small air transport (SAT) technologies
● UAS and scaled flight testing

The Transport Research Arena is a major transport conference that covers all transport modes and discusses all aspects of mobility; the selected theme is Transport Transitions: Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility.

Call for contributions – 13th SESAR Innovation Days conference (27-30 November 2023, Seville, Spain)
The 13th edition of the SIDs will be held on 27-30 November 2023 and hosted by the University of Seville. The SIDs are based on an open call for papers and posters soliciting contributions from the ATM research community. An exhibition and several networking events will provide further opportunities to learn about interesting projects and meet like-minded researchers.
Researchers from universities, research institutions, airlines, air navigation service providers and industry are invited to submit papers (up to 8 pages) presenting their research. Papers will be evaluated based on the innovative nature of the ideas, as well as the approach and methods applied. All papers (including SESAR contributions) will be triple peer-reviewed, a list of the SIDs committee members can be found here. The proceedings will be available for download in electronic format on SESAR 3 JU communication channels prior to the event. All SIDs papers are also listed in Elsevier’s Scopus database.
Closing date for paper submissions: 29 September 2023
Partners from both academia and industry are invited to submit proposals for posters and technical exhibits or demonstrations (max one poster/exhibit/demonstration per presenter, three per organisation). As well as showing innovative solutions to traditional problems of air traffic management, posters and exhibits may also address wider air transport and air traffic issues.
